The 25th anniversary of the downtown Louie Louie parade kicked off the summer season with a River Jam following the amazing parade. With the help from the Peoria Park District, the Illinois Valley Striders, the St. Jude runners and corporate sponsors, the event has raised more than $250,000.
River Jam took place on the CEFCU State at The Landing on Peoria's riverfront with R&B performing group BluPrint. This year's jam also featured bands like Three and a Half Men, The Willies, and JammSammich.
All money raised goes directly to the Illinois Valley Striders and will be used to cover the expense of putting on the St. Jude Runs and other races that raise funds for the children of St. Jude.
